Walker Park

On Monday afternoon Primary 1 are accompanying their buddies in Primary 7 to Walker Park for a fun farewell afternoon.  We will be leaving the school just after registration at 1.30pm and we will be returning by 2.45pm.  Please can you ensure your child has a warm jacket and suitable shoes with them in case the weather turns against us.  Fingers crossed the sun shines brightly!

Lunchtime Stalls

CROWN PRIMARY SCHOOL

This term P5/6 have been learning about the variety of skills needed in the world of work and now it is time for them to apply some of these skills in a real life context.  Each pupil has been given a business start up grant of £5.  They have had to come up with a business idea, create a business plan, logo, advert and sales pitch.

On Thursday at lunchtime, the businesses will be selling their products.

  • The Bing Bongs will be selling hot chocolate from 50p (toppings extra) and home baking from 20p

  • Bits and Bobs will be selling stationery ranging in price from 60p to £1.50

Open Afternoon Arrangements

The arrangements for Primary 1 open afternoon this term will be slightly different to normal.  As I’m sure you can appreciate ensuring each child has gone with the correct person at the end of open afternoon when there are so many people milling about is very important.  This term I am asking all parents to leave the classroom by 2.45pm and wait outside as normal and I will dismiss the children as soon as possible thereafter.  This will ensure that the children are safely with the right person.  I am also asking that if you visit another class within the school that you leave your child in Primary 1 with me and collect them from the Primary 1 door after 2.45pm.  Thank you for your co-operation with this matter.

Football Cards

CROWN PRIMARY SCHOOL

There’s a football frenzy feeling in the air at the moment with football cards reappearing in abundance.  This is all great until it starts causing upsets… we’ve had a lot of children swapping cards then wanting them back, cards getting muddled up and some getting lost and this of course creates squabbles!

In order to end the school year with everyone feeling happy, can we ask that children do not bring football cards into school and any exchanging of cards is done out of school time. Thank you in advance for your support with this!

Outdoor Classroom Day!

Tomorrow in school it is outdoor classroom day and we hope to do some of our learning outside!  Hopefully the sun will shine brightly but just incase it doesn’t please can you ensure your child comes to school with wellies, waterproofs and as pair pair of socks. If you don’t have waterproofs then don’t worry, we will borrow from the nursery. Fingers crossed for a glorious day!!
